Welcome to Detailist®. By booking a service, making a payment, or using our website, you agree to the following Terms of Service and Legal Disclaimer. These terms govern all services provided by The Detailist, LLC ("Detailist", "we", "our").
The Detailist, LLC Legal Disclaimer and Service Agreement. This agreement establishes the terms and conditions for all services provided by The Detailist, LLC (“The Detailist”), including paint correction, ceramic coatings, paint protection film (PPF) installation and removal, window tinting, vinyl wraps, and architectural window film services. By proceeding with payment or utilizing our services, the client acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions. The Detailist guarantees the use of professional-grade materials and proven techniques to deliver high-quality results. However, due to inherent risks associated with certain services, pre-existing damage or imperfections may become more noticeable, and outcomes may vary due to factors beyond our control, such as environmental conditions, material properties, or prior surface damage. For paint correction and ceramic coating services, a thorough inspection will be performed to assess the vehicle’s condition. Pre-existing issues like clear coat failure, touch-up paint, or body shop repairs may affect results. Paint correction can expose underlying repairs or defects, and ceramic coatings, while durable and enhancing gloss, require occasional maintenance to preserve performance. Regarding PPF installation and removal, pre-existing paint issues, such as flaking or peeling, are not the responsibility of The Detailist. Film edges may be visible and accumulate debris. Removal risks include potential paint damage, particularly on previously repaired or low-quality surfaces. PPF offers protection against minor damage but is not indestructible. Window tinting services may highlight pre-existing flaws such as scratches or chips in the glass. The Detailist is not liable for glass breakage or seal failure caused by thermal stress or pre-existing conditions. Clients must follow aftercare guidelines to ensure the longevity of the tint. Vinyl wrap services depend on the condition of the substrate. Pre-existing imperfections, such as rust or improper paint preparation, may impact the wrap’s adhesion and appearance. Wrap removal may damage the underlying surface, and specific maintenance is required to preserve the wrap's durability. Architectural window film services cannot repair pre-existing scratches or chips in the glass. Such imperfections may be more noticeable after application. The Detailist is not responsible for glass breakage or seal failure caused by thermal stress, manufacturing defects, or pre-existing conditions. Proper maintenance is essential for preserving film performance. Manufacturer warranties apply to products like PPF, window tint, and architectural films. The Detailist provides no additional warranties beyond those offered by the manufacturers. Payment terms may include a 30% non-refundable deposit before services begin, with the remaining balance due within seven (7) days of completion or at the time of pickup or delivery, whichever occurs first. Additional work beyond the agreed scope will incur separate charges. The Detailist is not liable for pre-existing damage, incidental or consequential damages, or issues arising from improper maintenance or failure to follow aftercare instructions. The client agrees to disclose any known pre-existing issues, adhere to aftercare instructions, and inspect the work upon delivery, raising any concerns within 24 hours. By proceeding with payment or utilizing our services, the client affirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions. The client also agrees to release and hold harmless The Detailist, LLC, its employees, and subcontractors from any liability related to the services provided. Please make checks payable to Detailist.
